NCIS Firefly

Yay! my first real NCIS fanart! (my previous one was the little minis for my shippy id: [link] ) Why? because the relationship between Gibbs and Abby reminds me of the relationship between Mal and Kaylee (and it's in that order because I only really got into NCIS like a year or so ago, but I've loved it!) And for the rest of it: why not draw the NCIS crew as space cowboys!

Leon for Book might have been too obvious but hey... they're both "by the book" Ziva/Zoe was also too perfect. The biggest debate was who to make Jayne. I was considering Ducky but my sis insisted Ducky was far too sophisticated to be Jayne. So Ducky became the operative, tho its hard to tell I modified operative, mal and kaylee's outfits slightly. the last two mainly to become black-er. I was considering Tony for Jayne but Tony as Wash was also too perfect.

I was hesitant to include Jenny and Kate because I came into the show after they were killed never grew to have much love for them. I actually wanted to make Alison Hart (the lawyer) Inara because I just LOVE the banter between Gibbs and Hart like I love the banter between Inara and Mal... but my sis explained that Shepard and Gibbs had similar banter. Alas, and I also didn't want all the oldschool NCIS fans coming at me with tomatoes. So Kate became River by default, haha! I did think about adding Allison as YoSafBridge but decided the piece was complete with this set.
